Can we make this out of corrugated board?

Corrugated board is generally a poor fit. Ten layers of fluting create a very thick stack that needs large depth adjustments, and the 180-degree folds risk cracking thicker corrugated materials. Paperboard is usually preferred.

Does the wrap lock closed on its own?

The layout does not include native tucks or locking tabs. It relies on tape, banding, or the walls of an outer shipping box to hold its shape.

What happens if we use a thicker paperboard?

The outer wrapping walls rely on a specific double-crease distance to clear the folded stack. If the board gets thicker, that distance needs to be increased, or the wrap will not close properly.

Can this be used as a parcel shipping box?
