Rigid box styles

The range covers formed lid-and-base boxes, hinged and magnetic boxes, drawers, slipcases, shoulder-and-neck boxes, book boxes, and collapsible rigid structures. We can start with the product, a current box, rough dimensions, or a presentation concept.

Available domestic production includes two-piece setup boxes from approximately 1.25 by 0.75 by 0.5 inches through 22 by 15 by 7 inches, using board from roughly 30 to 100 point. Many standard lid-and-base sizes in this range can be quoted without a new cutting die, subject to the exact dimensions and construction.

Lid and base

Full or partial telescope lids, shallow or deep bases, shoulders, and fitted trays.

Drawer and slipcase

Wrapped trays, outer sleeves, thumb openings, ribbon pulls, stops, and compartments.

Hinged and magnetic

Book-style and clamshell boxes with attached lids, concealed magnets, and ribbon details.

Shoulder, neck, and collapsible styles

Raised inner necks, contrasting reveals, close-fitting lids, and fold-flat rigid construction.

Finished presentation packaging

Wraps, printing, finishing, and interiors

Printed and specialty wraps

One- or two-color and four-color process printing, digital print, colored and textured papers, kraft, cloth-like wraps, contrasting papers, and printed interiors can be applied to the formed board box.

Decoration

Foil, embossing, debossing, varnish, aqueous or UV coatings, soft-touch and film lamination, spot gloss, raised effects, labels, ribbons, magnets, and windows are available through selected plants.

Fitted interiors

Chipboard and paperboard platforms, die-cut peachboard, corrugated partitions, foam, molded-pulp, vacuum-formed trays, and mixed-material interiors can create wells, compartments, finger access, and accessory spaces.

Assembly and shipping protection

The order can include the formed box, installed insert, ribbon or magnet fitting, labels, printed literature, grouped packaging components, and a corrugated shipping case.

Examples

Rigid box orders we can supply

A 75-box presentation run

A product team may need a hinged magnetic box with a printed soft-touch wrap, foil mark, fitted foam interior, and a corrugated shipping case for investor, retail-buyer, or press samples. Our short-run rigid routes include fully finished production around 50 to 100 boxes, subject to the structure and finish.

A repeat retail set with several components

A lid-and-base box can include a wrapped paperboard platform, separate wells for the product and accessories, printed literature, labels, and an outer case. We can supply the box, interior, printed pieces, assembly, and scheduled releases under one Hercule Industrial order.

A production-quality rigid prototype

Before a larger order, we can supply a rigid-box mockup in the intended dimensions, print, wrap, closure, and interior for buyer meetings, photography, product fit, or approval. The prototype and production quantity may use different equipment, but the approved appearance and structure stay with the project.

Samples and production quantities

We have access to production-quality rigid mockups, short-run rigid-box production around 50 to 100 pieces for suitable projects, domestic setup-box production commonly beginning around 500 pieces, and automated production for larger repeat programs. The exact minimum depends on the box, wrap, finish, interior, assembly, and schedule.

  1. Approve the structure.A plain sample checks the opening, dimensions, product fit, and insert.
  2. Approve the appearance.A printed comp or finish sample confirms wrap, color, foil, and decoration.
  3. Produce and assemble.Boxes, interiors, printed pieces, labels, and shipping cases are supplied as quoted.
  4. Repeat without starting over.Approved samples and production files support repeat orders and scheduled releases.
