A corrugated straight-line glued tube featuring partial-overlap end flaps. Delivered flat, it opens into a rectangular profile with end flaps that fold inward to create a protective rim.

In its default configuration, the flaps do not meet in the center, making it a practical bumper sleeve for large flat items. It can also be adjusted into a fully sealed box for automated packing lines.

Does this box fully enclose the product?

Not in its default setup. The end flaps are intentionally short, leaving a gap in the middle to act as a protective bumper. It can be modified into a fully closed box by extending the flap height.

How are the ends sealed?

The minor flaps fold in first, and the major flaps fold over them. They must be secured with tape or adhesive. There are no mechanical locks or tucks.

Will small items fall out of the ends?

If the flap height is left at the default partial-overlap setting, there is a central gap. Small or loose components will escape unless the flaps are extended to close the gap.

Is this suitable for manual packing?

It can be packed manually, but applying tape or glue to the end flaps by hand is slower than using a box with tuck ends or a crash-lock base. It is often better suited for automated case sealers.

Can this be made in heavy double-wall corrugated?
