Structural design

Structural design prioritizes functionality, durability and cost-efficiency so the package performs reliably across the supply chain. The design must protect its contents during shipping, handling and storage while remaining manufacturable.

The work can begin with a product, rough dimensions, photographs, an existing box, or a current specification that needs improvement.

Graphic design, artwork, and prepress

New packaging graphics or adaptation of supplied brand files, including panel layouts, barcodes, copy placement, spot colors, separations, trapping, and files prepared for the selected print method.

Artwork is checked against the approved dieline so folds, closures, glue areas, and visible panels are correct before production.

Samples, proofs, and production approval

A plain structural sample, a printed mockup, a finish proof, and a production sample do different jobs. We state what each approval represents before it is made.

  1. Dieline and structural drawingConfirms dimensions, folds, joints, clearances, material allowances, and print panels.
  2. Plain sampleChecks product fit, opening, closure, loading, removal, insert position, and assembly.
  3. Printed mockup or finish proofChecks artwork, color process, panel orientation, coating, foil, wrap, or another visible finish.
  4. Production sampleUsed when the order requires approval from the intended materials and production process.

Packaging redesign and problem correction

An oversized taped box with a loose foam block may arrive damaged, take too long to pack, and waste pallet space. A redesign can right-size the case, hold the product with a repeatable insert, reduce tape and packing steps, and improve pallet density.

We can review damage, material use, packing time, freight, print, presentation, or inconsistent repeat orders, then carry the approved change into new production files.
