Which board thicknesses work well for the bench fold?
Thinner boards, such as E-flute, are often a strong choice. They allow the multiple close creases of the bench to fold cleanly without cracking and help the small locking tabs fit precisely into the base slots.
Why is the inner wall of the bench cut away in the middle?
The discontinuous inner wall allows the tray to lock securely at the corners while leaving the central base area completely open. This makes it easier to load wide products or fit a single, large custom insert.
How does the bench stay in place?
The bench panels roll over the side dust flaps and feature small tabs at the ends. These tabs snap into slots in the base panel, locking the entire structure without adhesive.
Can I print on the top of the bench?
Yes, but because the bench folds over from the outside of the tray, the top surface of the bench is actually the inside of the flat corrugated sheet. Your artwork layout should account for this folding behavior.
