The EVC70022 corrugated grid partition is a multi-piece interlocking insert used to separate and organize individual items within a master carton. By isolating each product in its own cell, it helps reduce surface scratching and clinking during transit.

Delivered flat as a set of slotted longitudinal and transverse strips, the grid is assembled at the packing station. The interlocking design separates the contents and can add vertical compression support to the outer shipping box.

Cell Count and Clearance

Determine the number of items per box. The cell dimensions should allow enough clearance for the product to slide in easily without being so loose that the item rattles.

Deciding whether the volume justifies an automated partition inserter or if the grid will be assembled by hand changes how the slot chamfers should be cut.

The strips lock together mechanically using friction and the depth of the intersecting slots. They are dropped into the master carton as a single assembled unit.

Can these be assembled by machine?

Specialized partition inserters can automate the assembly and insertion process for high-volume runs. This relies on strict tolerances for board warp and clean slot cutting.

How is the cell size determined?

For this specific style, you provide the overall internal dimensions of your master carton and the number of cells needed in each direction. The individual cell size is then calculated automatically.

Can I use heavy double-wall board for these dividers?

While possible, double-wall board makes the interlocking slots very wide and increases friction during assembly. It is usually reserved for extremely heavy industrial parts.

How are the partitions delivered?
