Because the display consists of multiple flat pieces, it ships efficiently to a co-packer. The co-packer can assemble the units, load the product, and ship them to retail inside a protective master shipper or pallet shroud.
Flat delivery for store-floor assembly
The display can also be shipped flat directly to retail locations. Store staff assemble the base, fold the main body, and insert the shelves using the tab-and-slot connections.
Regional distribution and kitting
Brands managing regional rollouts can kit the flat display components with the retail product in a single master carton, ensuring stores receive the exact inventory and presentation materials together.
When to Consider Alternative Displays
Promoting loose or bulk items
If you are promoting loose, irregularly shaped, or bulk items that do not stack neatly on shelves, a corrugated dump bin is usually a better choice and requires less assembly time.
Shipping heavy goods pre-assembled
If the display must ship fully assembled and loaded with heavy goods through a rough transit network, a structurally reinforced shipper-display hybrid may be required, as tab-and-slot shelves can dislodge under heavy vibration.
Structural Choices for Graphics and Strength
Board thickness and shelf load capacity
The thickness and flute profile of the corrugated board directly dictate how much weight the shelves can hold before bowing. The slot widths in the main body must be precisely matched to the chosen board caliper to ensure a tight, secure fit.
Side-wall graphics and shelf-tab visibility
On the standard model, the tabs that hold the shelves in place protrude through the side walls. If your artwork requires a completely smooth, uninterrupted side panel, you should specify the double-wall variant, which hides the tabs internally.
Print method and surface finish
High-impact retail graphics often require litho-lamination or direct digital printing. The choice depends on the order volume and whether the display needs a glossy, protective finish for high-traffic aisles.
Header shape and branding updates
Decide whether a standard rectangular header is sufficient or if a custom die-cut profile is needed to match a brand logo. The separate header piece allows for creative shapes without altering the main display body.
Side Wall and Body Construction
Standard Single-Wall Body (EVC62020)
The main body is a single large blank folded into a U-shape. Shelf tabs pass through the side walls and are visible on the exterior.
Double-Wall Sides for Clean Graphics (EVC62020_1)
Includes separate inner side panels. The shelves lock into these inner panels, leaving the outer side walls completely smooth for uninterrupted artwork.
Three-Piece Glued Body (EVC62020_2)
The rear wall and two side walls are cut as separate pieces and glued together by the manufacturer. This can optimize material usage on the corrugator and allows for different board grades between the back and sides.
