Board, Print, and Master Packing Choices

Flute size and fold quality

Because the side walls roll over 180 degrees, thinner materials like E-flute are often preferred. Thinner flutes fold cleanly and reduce the risk of the board cracking along the double crease, while still providing excellent print surfaces.

Master carton sizing

The assembled display must fit inside an outer shipping box. The master carton needs to account for the display footprint, the height of the back wall, and any product that extends above the tray.

Inside and outside print placement

The roll-over side panels mean that the exterior print surface wraps around and becomes the inside wall of the tray. This allows a single-sided print run to provide branding on both the outside and the inner sides of the display.

Product weight and base support

The base panel bears the full weight of the loaded products. For very heavy items, the base may bow if lifted, so it is important to test the loaded tray to ensure the locking tabs remain secure.

Adjusting the Display Profile

Front wall height

The height of the front panel can be raised or lowered to reveal more of the product or provide more containment. It must remain shorter than the back wall to maintain the angled side profile.

Back wall height

Can the angle of the side walls be changed?
