This four-piece rigid display column serves as a floor pedestal or load-bearing pillar. Suited for thick, rigid materials like 16mm honeycomb or inverted corrugated board (ICB), it uses V-cut folds to create clean, continuous front and side corners.

Instead of glue or tape, the main wrap folds around three internal horizontal bulkheads, locking into place via a hidden internal spine. This creates a hollow pillar that ships flat and assembles on the retail floor.

The locking mechanism relies on slots cut into the horizontal supports. These slots need to match twice the thickness of the chosen board. If the material changes from 16mm to 10mm board, the CAD file needs to be updated, or the column will not lock.

How much weight can the column support?

The vertical walls of 16mm rigid board provide substantial compression strength, which can support heavy display items. However, exact load ratings depend on the specific material grade and should be validated with a physical prototype.

Are there visible seams on the outside of the column?

The front and side faces are completely continuous due to the V-cut folds. There is a single vertical seam running down the center of the back wall where the wrap locks together.

Can we change the height of the column?

The overall dimensions can be adjusted. The CAD template will automatically resize the internal horizontal supports to ensure they still fit inside the new footprint.

How is this delivered to stores?

It ships knocked-down (KD) as a flat kit containing the main wrap and the three loose support pieces, minimizing shipping volume.

How should artwork be set up for the continuous corners?

Because the V-cuts allow the board to fold without breaking the outer liner, artwork can be designed to wrap continuously across the front and side panels. Registration marks should align with the V-cut centers.

Are the top and bottom edges closed?

The standard template leaves the top and bottom open, exposing the raw core of the rigid board. If a closed top is needed for product placement, a separate top cap or tray should be added to the design.
