Board Thickness, Print, and Route Planning
Board Caliper and Lock Friction
The width of the tuck tab and the length of the receiving slit must be precisely matched to the thickness of the chosen board. Changing from a standard folding cartonboard to a thicker micro-flute requires adjusting these clearances so the lid stays closed without tearing.
Two-Sided Print Visibility
When the folder is opened, the inside of the lid and the inner fold-over flaps are highly visible. If you want a continuous brand experience, specify two-sided printing.
Outer Shipper Requirements

E40.82.00.00.a (Top-Edge Slit)
The receiving slit is positioned directly on the top crease of the front wall. The front inner flap folds over the side dust flaps to lock the tray.
E40.82.00.00.b (Front-Panel Slit)
Similar to the .a variant, but the receiving slit is located lower down on the front wall panel itself, requiring a slightly longer tuck tab.
E40.82.00.00.c (Inner-Panel Slit)
The locking slit is located on an inner trapezium panel that folds in from one of the long side walls, while the main cover folds over from the opposite side.
