The tuck-tab front and snap-lock base are designed for retail presentation. If shipping directly to consumers, this display must be packed inside a corrugated master shipper to maintain closure during individual parcel transit.

In display mode, the lower half of the header exposes the inside of the board. If your design requires full-color graphics across the entire upright header, double-sided printing should be discussed.

Board thickness and fold memory

The header achieves its rigidity by folding back on itself. Heavy boards or micro-flutes may resist this fold or crack at the crease, making standard folding boxboard (FBB) or solid bleached sulfate (SBS) the safer choices.

Do I need double-sided printing for the header?

It depends on your artwork. The top half of the header folds over, exposing the primary printed side to the consumer. However, the lower half of the header exposes the inside of the board. If you want graphics there, double-sided printing is necessary.

Can this display box be packed on an automated line?

No. The snap-lock bottom and the multi-step fold-over header require hand assembly and manual product loading.

Can I ship this directly to a retail store as a standalone package?

For palletized freight, yes. For individual parcel delivery, no. The front tuck tab and snap-lock base are not secure enough to maintain closure during individual parcel transit without an outer corrugated master carton.

Can this be made from corrugated board for heavier items?

It is generally not recommended. The header requires a tight fold to lock into place. Corrugated flutes add bulk that resists this fold and can cause the board to tear or the display to lean forward.

How much weight can the snap-lock bottom hold?

Snap-lock bases are secure for lightweight to medium-weight retail goods like cosmetics, small electronics, or candy. Heavy items may cause the interlocking bottom flaps to bow or release when the display is lifted.
