How is the inside of the cover finished?
A separate flexible lining sheet is glued over the interior. This covers the raw grey board and the folded-over edges of the outer wrap, leaving a clean, finished perimeter.
When is the printing applied?
The outer wrap and inner lining are printed and finished (with foil, embossing, or lamination) while they are completely flat, before they are glued to the rigid boards.
Can this cover be shipped in the mail on its own?
Rigid board covers have vulnerable corners and can flap open during transit. They should be placed inside a protective corrugated outer shipper for parcel delivery.
What happens if I choose a thicker rigid board?
Thicker boards provide a heavier, more luxurious feel, but the hinge gaps between the spine and the covers must be recalculated. If the gaps are too narrow, the cover will not close properly and the wrap may tear.
Does the cover ship flat or folded?
