Corrugated Multi-Drawer Cabinet

This structure ships flat (knocked down) as a multi-component kit due to its assembled size and empty internal volume. It requires manual assembly at the destination.

The internal runners are folded corrugated beams that pass through slots in the side walls, locking the U-shaped frame together and providing a surface for the drawers to slide on.

Weight capacity depends entirely on the board grade used for the internal runners and the side walls. However, heavy items will increase friction, making the drawers difficult to slide and potentially crushing the corrugated runners over time.

The cabinet is made of several distinct, large parts: left and right walls, a rear wall, a top cap, multiple drawers, and multiple runners. These usually cannot fit on a single standard cutting die, requiring multiple machine passes unless cut digitally.

While possible, it is often better to use a thicker, more rigid board for the load-bearing frame and runners, and a slightly thinner board for the drawers so they fold cleanly and slide easily.

The top cap helps tie the upper edges of the side and rear walls together, preventing them from splaying outward. Removing it may compromise the stability of the upper frame.

Because the cabinet is made of multiple flat components, you can print across the entire outer frame and individual drawer faces before assembly, allowing for high-impact, full-coverage graphics.

Assembly time depends on the user's familiarity with the kit, but because it involves folding multiple runners, gluing them, and erecting several drawers, it takes much more time than popping open a standard display bin.
