Front-Panel Aesthetics and Straight Tuck Ends
Because an RTE carton has tuck flaps on alternating panels, one flap will always fold toward the front, leaving a visible seam at either the top or bottom edge. If your artwork requires an unbroken front face at both ends, compare this with a Straight Tuck End carton, which folds both flaps to the back.
Heavy Products and Auto-Bottoms
The bottom closure relies entirely on the friction of the tuck flap and its slit locks. If you are packing heavy glass jars or dense components, the bottom may bulge or fail. Consider a crash-lock bottom or 1-2-3 bottom carton for greater base strength.
